Textiles
I am a far cry from a textile artist, but my love for textile crafts runs deep.
Growing up, instead of grounding and time-outs, my sister and I were forced into craft time when we were in trouble. Because of this, I was knitting by 5, cross-stitching by the age of 8 and sewing shortly afterwards.
Since then, my relationship with crafts has changed. What was once my punishment has turned into a source of my joy. I love the process of thinking up something in my head until the point that it’s ready to be translated into reality, and then seeing how closely I can bring those ideas to life through the use of textiles and crafts.

Shortly after discovering Locker Hooking through The Crafter’s Box, I have fallen completely in love. I started with the trivets, and moved onto “mug rugs” (aka coasters), and finished off with the add-on kit to do a larger rainbow wall hanging. It’s so relaxing to sit and work on a big project and see the progress right before your eyes. Definitely instant gratification!
